The Residential Team Lead manages/supervises employees and the operations of numerous group homes. They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Quality Assurance, group home operations, consumer rights and care, State/County/Care Management organizations regulatory compliance, training, delegation, supervision, resident satisfaction, and daily living activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration and management of quality services, including the care, supports, welfare, supervision and training of persons with developmental disabilities and/or acute, chronic or long-term conditions.
- Assist in all aspects of consumer and administrative services, and management and maintenance of the physical settings of the homes.
- Ensure protection of the rights of the consumers to uphold Clarity Care’s mission and values.
- Ensure new employees feel welcome, establishing their responsibilities through timely training, orienting them in their new position and familiarizing them with the Clarity Care culture.
- Evaluate, plan for, report on and implement overtime reduction strategies in coordination with the Residential Leadership.
- Take lead role in correcting Quality Assurance evaluations and documentation follow-up.
- Work with Coordinators/Managers to develop/revise consumer service plans, staffing patterns, follow budgets, and monitor expenses to ensure consumer needs are met.
- Monitor establishment and maintenance of good relationships with members of the Care Team, employees, guardians/family members, funding agencies, other service providers and the community at large.
- Perform on call duties as part of assigned programs’/homes’ chain of command.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a Human Services or a related field is preferred. A High School Diploma, or equivalent, with requested years of direct care and administration experience will be considered.
- Two years of direct care experience working in community based health programs caring for persons with severe limitations.
- Two years’ experience in the administration of community based health programs caring for persons with severe limitations.
- Interpersonal skills including leadership, ability to motivate others, encourage teamwork and to delegate responsibilities.
- Managerial skills including ability to plan, organize, lead, delegate, motivate, multi-task, prioritize time, manage crisis and conflicting demands on time, energy and resources.
