Resident Stipend

Description

The purpose of the Resident Stipend (RS) is to recognize the importance of resident involvement in creating a positive living environment and in actively participating in the overall mission of public housing. The RS will ensure the overall smooth operation of the community on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Functions

24-hour response time to any request from the corporate office. All documentation needs to be provided to the management team.

The Stipend is responsible for keeping all common areas clean and trash receptacles emptied. Cleaning schedule may be arranged by Supervisor.

The Stipend is responsible for keeping parking lot and grounds trash-free. Stipend will maintain building exterior and grounds. The grounds should be policed daily for trash or debris.

The Stipend is responsible for ensuring that the trash collector picks up all trash.

The Stipend is to be available to residents in case of any after hour emergencies. This includes resident lock outs.

The Stipend is responsible for contacting supervisor in event of any after-hours emergency.

Stipend may have annual written evaluations by Management Agent.

Stipend will keep open lines of communication with Hayes Gibson Property Services, LLC, and Management.

The Stipend should thoroughly review and understand the contents of the apartment complex and the House Rules used at the subject property.

This position will be paid as a stipend and will be an on-site, live-in position with a furnished apartment and paid utilities.

Requirements:
Training/Education/Other

College diploma preferred; high school diploma or equivalent combination of education preferred.

Satisfactory criminal background and drug screening.

Ability to clean and perform light maintenance duties.

Experience/Skills Desired

Valid driver’s license in the state of residence

Ability to communicate effectively with residents and management team

Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to perform all duties related to fine detail of mechanical devices

Ability to operate all necessary tools to perform the essential functions of the position

Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards

Ability to perform a variety of duties in all types of weather

Ability to maintain 24-hour on-call status

Completion of regulatory Fair Housing annual training

Completion of additional training will be required in regards to working with residents with a Subtance Use Disorder
