Central Penn College is seeking a full time Residence Life Coordinator position. The position is a live-in position and will provide after-hours staff presence. This position supervises student Resident Assistants and oversees areas of residence life programming including the student Resident Assistant program, Themed Housing, the Residence Hall Council, Move-In Day, and Partners on Claiming the Castle programming. This position reports to the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide after-hours staff presence in rotation with the Residence Hall Coordinator to include on-call support to Resident Assistants and Public Safety Officers, assist with programs, and respond to on-campus incidents.
• Provide direct supervision to students participating in the Resident Assistant Program.
• Monitor and complete regular assessment of program effectiveness to determine areas for improvement program effectiveness.
• Facilitate Resident Assistant selection process and coordinate with the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life regarding discipline and retraining opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Student Housing and Residence Life to develop training curriculum.
• Oversee and manage the Residence Hall Council

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Related experience in higher education, specifically residence life and housing or student affairs preferred
• Excellent communication, organizational, strategic planning, analytical and problem solving, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal and external professionals at all levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as an independent contributor.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Flexible schedule and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
