Tropic Shores Resort in Daytona Beach Shores is a beach front resort now hiring for full time Reservation Agents. We are looking for an experienced, energetic team player to join our staff. Tropic Shores is an 80 unit Time Share Resort that is one of the best on the beach. Pay day is weekly and compensation is based off experience. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. General Purpose of the Job

Provide excellent guest service to all guests. Responsible for booking reservations, answering telephone calls and guest inquiries, and posting payments. Use Guest service standards at all times.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Report to Front Desk Supervisor*
• Book reservations
• Work with exchange companies to accomodate owners requests
• Provide excellent guest service skills at all times, must adhere to the GUEST acronym at all times! (Greet, Undivided Attention, Enthusiastic Response, Smile, and Thank Guest at all times without exception)
• Answering incoming telephone calls and transferring calls to appropriate guests or department employees as necessary.
• Provide information on resort, amenities, local area attractions and events, directions, etc.
• Learn resort software and be able to post transactions as necessary.
• Complete cash and credit card transactions
• Must maintain a clean and neat work environment at all times.
• Must be able to follow appropriate chain of command to resolve issues.
• Cross-train with front desk to cover during absences.
• Various additional tasks and assignments as needed.*

Job Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills*
• Excellent guest service skills a must
• Prior office experience preferred
• Basic office skills helpful including basic math, proper cash handling procedures
• Reservation software or proven aptitude and familiarity with computers and computer software in general
• Must maintain a professional appearance and a cordial attitude towards all guests and staff
• Must be people orientated and able to work independently or with others as needed
• Must be able to easily and frequently change from one activity to another while operating a computer keyboard
• Able to handle the stress of high customer demand in a hospitality environment
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess appropriate identification
• Dependable
• Flexible (to scheduling need of department)
• Punctual
• Prolonged sitting (up to 3-4 hours at a time)
• Must have excellent English skills (written and verbal), Bilingual a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines
• Customer service experience desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
