Hertz Improvement Process - Regional Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of key business related projects and programs to further our business strategy.
- Drive a lean culture that leads to financial results, while managing multiple projects and developing individuals who are assisting at the location level.
- Working closely with cities throughout the zone to select and complete projects that will yield the most financial opportunity. Also ensuring sustainment after the project is completed.
- Conduct problem solving exercises to determine (and ultimately eliminate) root causes for various issues.
- Will report out monthly on financial results.
- Ensure standard methods are being utilized across locations (ie standard work).
- This role will work closely with the Zone Vice President and Director of Business Performance to ensure alignment of business strategy. They will then implement and manage projects at the location level to align with the strategy in close partnership with the local management team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-Related field strongly preferred.
Professional Experience:
- 3-5 years in Operations Management Required.
- 1-2 years if direct supervision of other Managers preferred.
- Experience in multiple operational functions / locations is preferred.
Knowledge:
Understanding of Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen and Hoshin principles
Skills:
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements.
- MS Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage people that do not have reporting responsibility.
- Ability to coach and provide feedback on a regular basis.
- Looking for continuous improvement opportunities everyday.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely.
- Must use insightful judgement and have strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Must be self driven.
- Presentation skills.
- Motivational skills.
Additional Notes:
- Position will require up to 75% travel throughout the zone.
