Overview:
AM LLC has an immediate opening for a full time Regional Lead to support COVID-19 response programming in the K-12 school setting within Fontana City Elementary School District. This is an on-site position working at multiple locations throughout Fontana, CA.

The Regional Lead collaborates with a team of Regional Leads to oversee, mentor, and support COVID School Liaisons. Regional Leads play an integral part in ensuring efficient and effective case investigation, contact tracing, and reporting. The successful candidate will serve as an immediate resource to the COVID-19 School Liaisons for complex circumstances and issues pertaining to state, county and public health recommendations for COVID-19.
Responsibilities:
  • Possess knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for providing the full continuum of COVID-19 response services (including disease surveillance, case investigation, contact tracing, laboratory testing, immunizations, and general public health practice).
  • Serve as Lead to COVID-19 School Support Liaisons and the remote contact tracing team, providing guidance and support regarding community-based public health practice and administrative support.
  • Supervise and delegate to COVID-19 School Support Liaisons, providing needed training and support to make them successful at their jobs. Assigning and floating Liaisons to different school sites as needed.
  • Assist with decision making and facilitate interpretation of protocols related to COVID-19 isolation, quarantine, return clearance, and referrals to medical care.
  • Communicate with students and parents/caregivers, as appropriate, providing family-centered care.
  • Review and implement policy and procedures on a continual basis to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Update district guidance in alignment with CDPH and local County DPH.
  • Facilitate Contact Tracing of COVID-19 infections, in coordination with COVID-19 School Support Liaison, Contact Tracing strike team, and district Contact Tracing team.
  • Facilitate COVID-19 testing when necessary and assist with properly disposing of resulting biohazard waste per company guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Training and Continuing Education Lead to facilitate the delivery of the most current, evidence-based continuing education for project staff members.
  • Participate in all staff meetings and training sessions for COVID-19 program staff.
  • Provide infection prevention and control recommendations and monitor personal protective equipment (PPE) supply for school-based COVID-19 program staff.
  • Provide daily and weekly reporting to ensure maintenance of accurate inventory for testing kits and related supplies for school-based COVID-19 program staff.
  • Monitor and mitigate work-related safety and health risks for each staff position, through administrative and environmental control measures.
  • Collaborate with AM Employee Health and Safety Representative to ensure compliance with all workplace safety and health authorities (OSHA, state, and local regulations).
  • Coordinate with school staff, district staff, local public health department, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and high quality of services.
  • Submit documentation on appropriate platforms and provide daily summary numbers for areas of responsibility.
  • Work with the scheduler and operations team to ensure adequate COVID Liaison school site coverage.
  • Approve COVID Liaison time-off requests, mileage reimbursement requests, and time cards as necessary.
  • Ensure effective communication between onsite and remote staff members for coordination of school-based COVID-19 operations.
  • Hold end of day meetings with a team of COVID-19 School Support Liaisons.
  • Provide weekly school site assessments and evaluation for quality assurance.
  • Report to school sites as needed by the project, especially the lead’s assigned region.
  • Onsite and remote days to be assigned on a rotational basis to meet the needs of the school district.
  • Working hours to be assigned on a rotational basis to meet the needs of the school district.
  • Other duties as assigned for business continuity.
Qualifications:
Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in a health related field required and Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of nursing experience preferred, demonstrating increasing responsibility and leadership
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Public Health Nurse (PHN) certification preferred
  • Pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred

THE COMPENSATION FOR THIS ROLE IS $42.00/HOURLY.
The AM LLC pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
