Job Description


:
The Regional Head of Supply, Demand & Inventory Optimization for the Americas; Canada, USA, Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador contribute to maximize profitable sales growth across markets by leading the team to optimize supply based on demand. The role is responsible for short-term operational functionality and long-term strategy and development within regional buying, inventory optimization and activation of stock through mark down and customer engagement activities. Apart from being an integrated part of the Merchandising team, the role will work cross-functionally to enable a fast, flexible, and effective supply chain and activations of the customer in the region today and in the future.


This position is based in New York, NY within our Regional Merchandising function. It reports to our Regional Omni Head of Merchandising and has the following direct reports: Supply and Demand Planning Managers, Supply and Demand Planning Specialists Inventory Optimization Project Manager, Senior Merchandising Analyst.


Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

Overall Supply and Demand Planning and Inventory Optimization Strategy

Take the overall responsibility for OMNI regional demand and supply plan and execution to fulfil customer demand in line with regional and local commercial plans and actions

  • Develop top down OMNI demand plan together with Regional Sales team, Controlling, and Regional manager
  • Create an OMNI supply plan based on demand plan – technical buying, stock targets, reduction cost targets, together with Supply and Demand Managers, Merchandising Managers, and Regional Head of Merchandising
  • Set sale strategies with Supply and Demand Managers
  • Understand customer behavior impact on demand and supply actions accordingly
  • Rolling collaboration with Regional Head of Inventory Optimization and Merchandise managers to understand current challenges and stock management needs.


Integrate Demand and Supply

Understand and integrate customer demand, our assortment and customer base activation plan

  • Drive the connection between customer behavior and our actions to activate demand with supply actions or limitations
  • Understand customer behavior impact on demand and supply actions to optimize the inventory accordingly
  • Set strategies and ways of working for allocation and inventory optimization that supports the customer demand together with Inventory Optimization managers and Logistics.
  • Follow up total supply chain performance with your team and Logistics
  • Balance service level, cost, selling and customer promise


Logistics Cooperation:

Lead the Regional Merchandising team in the collaboration with Logistics. Drive the goal setting process and challenge our way of working to enable us to efficiently supply our customer demand.

  • Set the supply chain network agenda for Region together with Logistics and Global Supply Chain strategy and design
  • Be a driving force to unite Logistics and Regional Merchandising team way of working and goals to drive most profitable result for Region.
  • Plan, prioritize, execute, monitor, and follow up common goals and results together
  • Secure collaboration around Inbound and outbound capacity planning and prioritization
  • Secure that ways of working and total information flow from commercial actions and inventory optimization are synched with Logistics
  • Identify potential to improve our commercial and logistical operations to increase outcome and efficiency


Supply Chain development and implementation

Bring Regional findings to Global Supply Chain agenda and roll out new ways of working for new development initiatives in region

  • Bring specific supply chain needs to global teams and collaborate to set the best possible omni supply chain desired state for region together with Logistics
  • Be the region speaking partner with global teams to secure best possible future solutions in tech solutions, business logic, ways of working and plan for implementation of these


Lead the Team

Lead, recruit, and develop the team for the best possible setup here and now but also understand future needs for resources and competencies as we develop our supply chain

  • Lead the regional Demand and Supply unit
  • Recruit best talents

  • Proactively secure competence given development agenda


Additional Accountabilities:

  • Budget amount responsible for including payroll amount 4.3MUSD, +700 of stores and 5 online markets.


Qualifications


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics/Finance, or similar field
  • 5+ years’ experience in E-Commerce/Store Merchandising, Demand and Supply planning, or Business Controlling role
  • Leadership experience very meriting
  • Logistics experience meriting
  • Deep understanding in buying, stock management, allocation, inventory optimization, and logistics operation
  • Broad understanding of our customer base and activation strategy
  • High strategic and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Deep business understanding
  • Deep E2E supply chain understanding
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong brand ambassador
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with multi-functions and competencies
  • 20% Travel is required both domestic and internally
