Job Description – Regional Equipment Sales Representative – New England
CraneWorks is a successful heavy-duty truck mounted equipment manufacturer and distributor with offices in Houston, TX / DFW-Haslet, TX / Brighton, CO / Hampton, NJ / Orlando, FL / San Marcos, CA / Olathe, KS / St. Louis, MO. CraneWorks also has outstanding in-house Service Departments at all locations and provides mobile service trucks that allow us to respond in the field. Our world class Parts Departments can ship parts anywhere in the world.
CraneWorks has direct hire opportunities for Heavy Equipment Sales Representative. The objective of these roles is to sell heavy equipment to customers and assist in developing market opportunities and managing relationships with customers and to sell to existing accounts as well as new target opportunities.
Job Summary
Work closely with Customer Sales and Services Management to develop and implement target account specific objectives, strategies, and action plans
Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and company offerings
Quote prices, bid specifications and maintain records as outlined by management
Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations, and attending trade shows and conferences
Answer customers' inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, and product uses
Monitor customer satisfaction and communicate this information to management
Work with Parts and Service Departments to introduce customers to the other services we provide
Update customer relationship management system with sales and prospect activity on a weekly basis as outlined by management
Qualifications and Experience
Candidate will cover the New England territory to include Vermont, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and would ideally reside near to one of the larger metropolitan areas located within that territory. Reporting branch location will be our Hampton, NJ office. Travel to this reporting branch and other branches will be required intermittently. (Kansas City, Denver, Houston, Orlando)
Specific experience selling or working with brands such as Kenworth, Palfinger, Fassi, Cormach, Socage, Elliott, Versalift, National, Manitex and Tadano and equipment types such as knuckle booms, man lifts, mobile cranes, crawler cranes, forklifts and material handling equipment
5 years prior and proven outside sales experience with heavy-duty truck mounted equipment expertise
Demonstrated leadership ability, self-motivated and disciplined with an ability to work closely with management and customers
Excellent communication and presentation, analytical, and problem- solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel 4 out of 5 days with 1 office day per week
Good PC Skills: Excel, Word, CRM and PowerPoint
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
