Recruiter Job at Atrium Staffing
Our client in the transportation industry is looking for a Recruiter to join their team in Newark, New Jersey starting as soon as possible.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30 – $40/hr
Position Overview:
Recruiter will ultimately work the schedule of 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday. The Recruiter position requires someone that can handle a fast-paced and changing environment while wearing multiple hats as needed.
Responsibilities of the Recruiter:
- Accurately co-ordinates and assists with the administrative duties of the recruiting team to enhance the overall recruitment process
- The ability to excel in a fast- paced environment and communicate effectively at all levels
- Responsible for recruiting and staffing initiatives
- Screens and Interviews prospective candidates on the phone or in person
- Assists and prepares Technical/Professional and Behavioral Interview questions
- Extends Internal/Internal Offers
- Assist in accessing information in the applicant tracking system or in other reports, or systems
- Post a position in recruiting sites and Linked In, Indeed and keeps track of the positions that are posted
- Interprets policies and procedures for client base
- Tracks and collects data for applicant tracking; generates recruiting reports, as needed
- Ensures confidentiality
- Submits background checks on all applicants
- Submit candidates to pre-employment testing
- May submit candidates to hiring managers on behalf of recruiters
- Schedule interviews for hiring managers with candidates
- Coordinates hiring documents with the candidates for compliance
- Maintains compliance and organization of all position folders
- Maintain TA document library
- Build relationships with Department Leaders, Hiring Managers and Candidates
- May Utilizes ATS, Job boards and social media, career fairs and college websites for recruitment
Qualifications for the Recruiter:
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and complete high volume of assigned work accurately
- Demonstrated success in working effectively and efficiently under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels in the organization and communicate effectively regarding sensitive and confidential matters
- Advanced on MS Office including Excel and Outlook
- Experience with HR Information Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and related report generation experience a plus
- Experience with detailed reporting and tracking advantageous
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and customer-service orientation skills, with the motivation and ability to function independently or as a team member
- A high degree of flexibility
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience and knowledge of the field is required
