TITLE: Quality Engineer

Formal Education and Training Required of the Quality Engineer
- BS Degree, Engineering or a related discipline, MS / MBA desirable
- 1 - 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering position(s)
- American Society for Quality affiliation, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt are desirable. - SAP knowledge helpful
Quality Engineering Technical Leadership:
- Helps to shape strategic quality vision and goal setting within the department.
- Responsibility for the quality engineering discipline relating to new product development, customer contract
- review and requirements planning, manufacturing process risk mitigation, process validation, process
- stabilization, process optimization, and inspection / test protocols. (ZB)
- Support Inspection, Measurement and Test Equipment (IMTE) policies. (MSA / Gage R&R)
Customer Requirements Review & Planning:
- Perform RFQ and Contract reviews to assure all critical-to-customer (CTC) specified requirements are identified, understood and properly planned, flowed-down and communicated within the organization effectively and efficiently such that resultant products / services provided to the customer fully meets specified requirements and expectations. (ZB AQP Quality Planning & Control Plans)
Process Quality:
- Responsible for ensuring that inspection procedures/ control plans are defined and effective. (ZB AQP)
- Document nonconforming material, investigate to root cause and recommend disposition.
- Proactively analyzes current data to provide a status on quality trends, highlighting areas to be improved.
- (ZB AQP data mining) Develop SPC Charts and standards. (ZB AQP)
- Identifies and coaches manufacturing in the control of key process variables found to be critical to quality.
Subcontractor / Supplier Quality: (ZB AQP)
- Performs supplier audits, evaluations and approvals.
- Review quality performance data to targeted levels and take corrective action as required.
- Manage supplier nonconformance process and requests for deviations.
- Quality Management System and Customer Quality (Customer Complaints):
- Perform internal ISO audits and support external customer and ISO Registrar audits when necessary.
- Create and revise procedures, and train employees on QA processes / work instructions.
- Support resolving customer complaints.
- Support CAPA process, perform failure analyses of assigned customer returns (complaints) to determine RCCA and countermeasures that prevent recurrence while ensuring total customer satisfaction

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
