JOB SUMMARY
Tests and inspects products received from vendors to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to read and Interpret engineering drawings
- Inspects products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or electrical characteristics.
- Evaluates product and writes Non-Conformance reports to document deviations from Standard.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards
- Witnesses output product using industry standards.
- Inspects incoming product by measuring dimension, Material and functions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
General knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, E-Mail messaging, and manufacturing/inventory software.
