JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the VP of Compliance and Contracting, and the direction of the IT Application Development Manager, the Quality Assurance tester/Specialist tests programming changes to ensure that the code and operations corresponds to the user request(s). This includes but is not limited to, group and plan setups, claims processing, website functionality and IVR functionality. Any and all aspects of Quality Assurance that may be assigned to this role. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology are applied as specified in the testing approach, and that all testing results are easily accessible and understandable.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with QA techniques and methodology.
  • Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
  • Document defects and issues including relevant descriptions of the issue with detailed steps to replicate.
  • Experience documenting testing processes and writing test plans to ensure business requirements are completed and delivered as planned.
  • When testing is completed and signed off by all parties, the QC Specialist may assist in user training.
  • Must support testing during implementation periods. This can include early morning, evening and/or weekend hours.
  • Detail oriented with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • A working knowledge of healthcare industry processes and or familiarity with CPT codes is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and write in the English language; should be able to compose concise business communication.
  • Must be able to perform mathematical computations with a high degree of accuracy
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT QA experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of testing web technology experience preferred
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to produce work at the highest level of quality.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision and work independently and meet deadlines is required.
  • Must have the ability to research, analyze, and interpret business rules in relation to system functions.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment, including computer and copier.
  • Must be proficient in various Microsoft software products such as word, excel and access. Any experience with automated QA products is a plus.
