Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician supports product quality and continuous improvement. The Quality Technician works to ensure the quality of current products and processes both internally and externally to the company, investigates product related issues to determine root cause, and works with manufacturing engineering to develop and implement corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct initial sampling inspections, in process inspections, and finished goods inspections.
• Analyze and interpret inspection results in accordance to customer specifications and tolerances. Communicate the results to the operators.
• Complete documentation necessary to support customer required PPAPs and participate in ATACOs new product development process as necessary.
• Assist with containment, corrective action reports (CAR), and root cause analysis.
• Audit and monitor inspection process for ISO compliance to ensure a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement various continuous improvement activities.
• Review job instruction sheets for quality improvement opportunities.
• Create and maintain in process inspection sheets for all job orders.
• Inspect incoming goods for conformance to the purchase order.
• Create and maintain CMM programs using ATACO templates and measurement strategies.
• Support capability studies
• Ensure quality department tools and equipment are calibrated, documented, and maintained properly.
• Assist in training operators on the proper use of measurement equipment.
• Perform general office duties and quality related functions
• Other duties as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical abilities with good attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and in teams

Preferred:

• One to three years of quality assurance experience
• Thorough understanding of GD&T, Blueprint reading, and how to perform a complete part layout
• Experience with stamped and drawn sheet metal parts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Experience with PC-DMIS, DraftSight and Solidworks
• Experience working with quality management systems, ERPs, and ISO 9001:2015
• Driven, self-starter, Ambitious

Hours: Flexible 45 hour work week Monday - Thursday, half day Fridays! Opportunity for Overtime

2nd shift hours: Monday- Thursday 2pm- midnight occasional Fridays.
