TSI ‘s service area covers northern Illinois, eastern Iowa, and the U.P. of Michigan with distribution centers based in Madison and Green Bay.

Job Summary:

Efficiently, effectively, safely, and a in timely manner perform administrative and clerical duties for the purchasing department. Responsibilities include researching new vendors, tracking deliveries, and updating order records.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· To Be… Punctual, cooperative, dependable, and able to take direction.

· Track and monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs. If necessary, escalate request to Purchasing Agents.

· Ensure high attention to detail on orders, pricing, and customer needs and quickly problem solve incoming requests.

· Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts).

· Conduct market research to collect new vendors for competitive pricing and part availability.

· Use critical thinking when creating cost analyses for item numbers and purchase history.

· Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.

· Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders.

· Consult with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.

· Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

· High School/GED

· Associates Degree or 1-2 years of work history required.

· Prior history in purchasing or finance preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Basic understanding of finance technology, Office 365 and related services

· Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
