Purchasing Manager
A career as Purchasing Manager will provide you with the opportunity to lead the purchasing team in the development and management of the procurement of all goods and services required by Superior Tire & Rubber Corporation. You will secure the supply of key materials and supplies based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability, and selection variety. Additionally, you will foster mutually profitable buyer-seller relationships while reviewing the market to forecast vulnerabilities in the procurement of key materials.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control. in order to make recommendations for the future and to identify areas for possible savings
- Develop, establish, implement, and enforce supplier and outsourcer guidelines, obligations and service level agreements to the organization
- Comply with all purchasing policies and procedures.
- Analyze trends and market conditions for present and future pricing, availability, lead time and capacity of goods and services and develop plans to react
- Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions of sale, and warranties of goods and products with key suppliers and vendors.
- Interview, identify and qualify potential new vendors or suppliers in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services and continuity of supply.
- Lead a collaborative environment within purchasing and work cross-functionally with other departments (ie: health & safety, manufacturing, and engineering)
- Develop a path-to-grow for members of purchasing team to achieve departmental goals in procurement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors in Business Administration
- Prior experience operating measurement and testing equipment desirable.
- Experience collecting and presenting data in detailed reports.
- Strong mathematical and statistics background will service candidate well.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Benefits/Compensation
- Pay rate is $81K-$110K per year
