Required Education: High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred
Required Experience: 2+ years Nursing; mental/behavioral health experience preferred
Required License or Certification: WA State Licensure or license eligible
THIRA Health seeks a Psych Nurse - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, a team player, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment. The Psych Nurse (LPN) will be responsible for direct medical care and general oversight of medical care of THIRA Health patients.

Job Duties:
- Take vitals on patients daily, document accordingly in patient’s chart
- Perform initial new patient medical assessment, including but not limited to, reconcile medications, obtain medical/surgical history and most recent labs, confirm all patient allergies, and document all findings in patient chart
- Troubleshoot problems/situations that arise with patients within the facility; provide milieu support and general coverage for programs as needed; on-call on the floor to meet the needs of the clinic
- Coordinate care with clinical treatment team and assist in treatment plans for patients as necessary
- Support and oversee general patient medical care including but not limited to lab and EKG orders, AIMS test, skin assessments for self-harm behavior, phone in prescriptions, obtain urine samples for screening, communicate with outside patient providers and family regarding medical information
- Oversee all medical supply ordering and inventory; maintain medical budget
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner using electronic medical record MicroMD; maintain all patient medical charts
- Collaborate and assist with creation and implementation of medical policies and procedures in accordance with Joint Commission and other accreditation services
- Research solutions for any medical-related issues that have been identified and guide implementation as appropriate
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, Bachelor’s in healthcare related field preferred
- Active WA State LPN licensure in good standing
