Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. Delivering significant sales and profitability growth, we will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

Description:

We’re currently looking to grow our team with the addition of a Proposal Manager. The Proposal Manager will contribute to the positioning of the WND product across North America through the development of strong value propositions. This role will also support in growing our content library as well as assisting in pursuit execution, ensuring we’re articulating the best story and value to our clients in compelling and differentiated ways. This is a remote position that can report anywhere within the U.S.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates best-in-class, original pursuit and marketing content customized for the decision-maker by collaborating with internal SMEs and leveraging Voice of Customer
  • Provides strategic direction on RFP responses to deliver the best possible client outcome, including but not limited to value proposition, services, and storyline
  • Determines and leads internal players throughout the opportunity, briefing team leadership throughout the pursuit relationship and making insightful recommendations
  • Project manages select pursuit opportunities from start to finish, acting as point of contact and lead communicator
  • Develops and ensures deliverables are compliant with client requirements while telling a compelling story through strong narratives and win themes
  • Contributes to the development and maintenance of WND’s content library and many growth enablement marketing materials
  • Supports evolution of best practices regarding content and pursuit execution
  • Supports other marketing related functions as required

Qualifications:

  • Our ideal candidate is curious, thoughtful, has a positive attitude, is laser-focused on the details, and can learn new skills quickly
  • Experience supporting high volume, quick turnaround client requests as well as large internal initiatives, such as content/knowledge repositories, with minimal oversight
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments at one time
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally within a matrix environment and manage upward effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Follows through with all tasks, assignments, and job duties in a timely manner
  • Knowledge and familiarity with supply chain and logistics is a plus

Education and/or Experience:

  • Three to five years of applicable experience. BA/BS required.
  • Prior experience in warehouse, distribution, and/or transportation operations in a plus

Pay Range:

  • $80,000 - $95,000*

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
