In this position, the Program Director will initially serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) contributing to the design, curriculum, and development of a program that prepares students for entry into a career as a Nursing Aide/Assistant. The Program Director will work directly with the MedCerts Product Development Team to optimize the delivery of developed training material and determine which of the “MedCerts 12 Elements of eLearning” will be leveraged to deliver course content in the most meaningful and appropriate way. With guidance from the Product Development Team, they will write the scripts to be used in our Instructor-Led videos and voiceover elements used within the course. They will also prepare questions (with answers and rationale) for assessments throughout the course. The Program Director will work closely with at least one (1) additional Course Developer, who is also a Subject Matter Expert in the field. Preference will be given to a candidate that can provide referrals for additional developer(s).

The Program Director will be listed as an Instructor in support of the program upon launch and will be required to maintain currently held licenses or credentials related to the field of nursing, as required by licensing and regulatory authorities.

The Program Director will have accountability for initial/ongoing curriculum and outcomes compliance according to all relevant state guidelines and will ensure that updates and changes to state guidelines are reflected in all related courses. As with all MedCerts programs, course content is reflective of a combination of state/federal requirements (if/when applicable), certification exam requirements, and needs of employers. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities and experience related to each of these three areas and should be able to help define additional specialty skills that would create a better Nurse Assistant.

Upon launch of the program, the Program Director will serve as a subject-matter resource for student, team, or client inquiries related to the program. The Program Director will lend his/her expertise to aid in MedCerts’ efforts to form industry partnerships with hospitals, health systems, SNF’s, ASF’s, HHC providers, academic institutions, and other strategic partners. While the role of the Program Director is not to own these relationships, they will be instrumental in the original setup and ongoing maintenance of established partnerships.

MedCerts intends to position its Nursing Assistant program as the standard for didactic learning in the field of pre-nursing, which will be leveraged as a CNA program offering when offered in partnership with local or regional organization. Partner organizations will be responsible for delivery of lab/clinical component(s), which the Program Director will help launch through the creation of a standardized lab manual and clinical protocol. The Program Director will be instrumental in the “build” of a joint offering that will ultimately be reviewed and approved by the respective state nursing board, and eligible as a certification tool within each target state.

The Program Director will help guide future programming, as well as have a hand in developing a product roadmap based on future opportunities in the field of Pre/Nursing.
