Overview:

PURPOSE


This position will work in various areas using industrial equipment to provide a smooth and safe operation. Position works on a rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to operate various heavy equipment.
  • Will be required to learn how to operate a gantry crane for unloading vessels caring fuels and raw materials
  • Troubleshoot production issues and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to; assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
  • Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, takes correction action to eliminate safety hazards.
  • Ensure safe practices including lock-out, tag-out, try-out, confined space, and hot work permits.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO environmental and quality standards, and housekeeping. Maintain high work standards.
Qualifications:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required Education: High School diploma/GED

Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills


Additional Requirements
:

  • A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • High degree of safety awareness
  • Initiative; ability to learn; team player; and strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum direct supervision
