The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to be a hands-on leader and lead those functions required to keep the facility in compliance with parts production balances, as reflected in all site inventory systems. This is accomplished by setting daily schedules of orders to be processed. Assigning work based on associate’s knowledge and capabilities. Training and leading by example on specified equipment and knowledge of processes.

Pay: $80-$90k
Schedule: This is an exempt position, but core hours average around 10hrs per day starting anywhere between 4am - 5am, with flexibility on hours worked!

What you’ll be doing:
Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day operation over a team of entry-level production employees to meet demand of both external and internal customers
Coordinate production to meet daily distribution requirements
Plan daily production activities
Lead reliability, compliance, quality and safety programs for assigned area; ensures required government and/or environmental regulations are met
Ensure team is fully trained in, committed to, and conduct their activities in accordance with all aspects of company Safety and Quality systems and requirements, coordinating quality and safety training with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Monitor production/manpower levels within area of responsibility to ensure continued efficiency while anticipating problems and assisting with developing contingencies to address issues or production needs
Identify and address product quality issues and continually look for ways to improve processes at the plant
Responsible for maintaining adequate inventory of production supplies
Oversee and manage inventory levels
Support 5S and Lean Projects and continuously identify ways to reduce plant operating costs through the incorporation of Operational Excellence strategies
Audits hourly employees time cards for accuracy to ensure correct charges against production assignments
Evaluates employee’s overall performance, establishing goals and objectives for proper manufacturing techniques
Maintains established housekeeping standards
Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
Analyze production trends, quality and reducing scrap and communicate results with senior management
Partner with the QC, Press, Engineering, Deburr and Sales Service teams to ensure all orders are processed according to schedule and in compliance
Responsible for supplying process orders to Heat Treat/Machine Shop by following Press schedule
Partner with the Inventory Control Manager in the planning and execution of the annual physical inventory count
Meets established standards for productivity and quality. Collaborates with manager when road blocks arise which impact expected levels of performance and efficiencies
Responsible for enforcing Company policies, safety and employee conduct in the workplace
Conduct meetings with employees regarding training, Company policies, safety, conduct and general information as required
Must contribute to a positive work environment
Work directly with the Director of Operations to coach, train, develop and hold associates accountable for performance and efficiencies
Handles routine personnel issues including training, coaching and counseling subordinates

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
Experience and Education
Minimum (3) years of hands-on production operations experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred, but not required
College degree or comparable business experience, preferably in the Aerospace industry

Be able to bend and twist at the waist, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, kneel or squat while maneuvering dyes into place as needed
Be able to lift up to 40 lbs. from ground level to waist repeatedly over the course of the shift
