Position Summary
Manual Assembly Operators will manually unpack and re-pack materials using basic equipment, i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, ink-jet coders, casers, conveying systems, taping systems, etc. The Operators will re-assemble bulk product and assorted goods manually.
Primary Responsibilities
Daily Activities
- Transfer materials according to the staging report
- Read production schedule and stage orders to the PSA for consumption into production. Review (read) staging report to determine the amount of materials that need to assemble finished goods.
- Stage and consume materials into manual production operation.
- Manually pack goods into finished product
- Manage and dispose of department recyclables and garbage.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management or SRC’s.
Continuous Improvement
- All employees will support and participate in Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) and Total Performance Management (TPM) and in the future Lean Initiative activities as a part of their job responsibility within their Business Unit or as assigned within the factory.
Safety, Health, and Environmental
- Employee shall follow Fremont Factory safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report unsafe conditions immediately, report incidents immediately or by the end of the shift, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.
- All employees will maintain environmentally conscious production efforts.
Education and Experience
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required as well as other training.
Experience
Previous experience in a food manufacturing or manufacturing setting preferred.
