What you’ll do

  • Supervision of 1st shift shop floor associates in Fluorodyne, E-beam, and Biomed alongside VSL
  • Train employees on SOP’s, exop’s, TP’s etc.
  • Maintain/adjust production schedule to ensure on-time delivery
  • Support manager in assigning employees to manufacturing processes based on production needs and level of experience
  • Set-up, start-up, and operation of manufacturing processes using adherence to SWIs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and current Good Documentation Practices (cGDP), until acceptable finished product is realized
  • Monitor Critical-to-Quality (CTQs) media metrics (e.g., Delta-P, KL, Thickness, Basis Weight, etc.) through Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure the highest quality media possible
  • Make any needed adjustments to the process using formally documented and approved Corrective Methods (CMs)
  • Review scrap and downtime data sheets at shift end to ensure accurate and timely reporting of downtime and scrap; complete Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) documentation
  • Support Engineers in Tech Plans; support R&D runs and scale-ups
  • Complete daily updates to the area specific VMB for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity (SQDIP)
  • Ensure a safe working environment through application of HazMat Handling and GMP practices

Who you are

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) with 5 years’ manufacturing experience, including equipment maintenance and troubleshooting or Associates degree in a technical (mechanical) discipline with 2 years’ manufacturing experience, including equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, , , etc.)
  • Basic math skills to quantify scrap in various units of measure (e.g. Linear Feet, Sq. Feet, etc.) and downtime in minutes
  • Ability to identify and correct documentation that is inconsistent with current quality system
  • Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice
  • Willing to be screened and pass for 20/30 vision (per SWI34000VSP)
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and housekeeping skills
