Postion Overview:
The Production Analyst at Lazarus Naturals is responsible for ensuring the efficacy of reporting strategies and data flow to and from the PDX production team. This includes costing analysis, capacity planning, continuous improvement of tools, and developing assessments of data accuracy. Success in this position will require strong skills in report development and troubleshooting data outputs to drive the accuracy of production planning requirements and capacity. This job comes with a lot of freedom to approach systems with a new perspective and to impact real change for the organization as a whole. This role will also play an integral role in a systems migration to a new ERP system. The production analyst will also need to have the ability to work in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
The Production Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for capacity analysis of production to understand and report on production capabilities and limitations.
  • Ensure that the right data is getting to the right stakeholders at the right time. For the production analyst the goal is to represent the production teams priorities and needs through reporting and systematic improvements.
  • Create troubleshooting routines and health check reports to monitor and communicate the health of the current production planning system.
  • Create improvements to monitoring and scheduling dashboards to better align end-to-end planning.
  • Define systematic improvements that can optimize production planning and processes using existing systems developed using google spreadsheets and google app script.
  • Rework and calibrate the logic flows within the existing sheets framework to reduce errors, increase accuracy and create more usability for end users. Refine the user interface, inputs and outputs to make the system more accessible, usable, and cater directly the business and department needs.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement and optimization of the production and formulations systems to benefit the overall business strategy and user experience.
  • Create process flow for existing process and business requirements documentation for future system upgrades and changes to MRP program suite. Assist in scoping and implementing new MRP systems and ensuring cross functional usability.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure flow through of information for planning and purchasing
  • Accountable to developing cadenced reporting meetings for various Production functions
  • Responsible for updates of all productions functional systems and planning systems updates
  • Provide backup to other team members in their absences (reporting meetings, etc.)
  • Work cross functionally with team in Seattle to verify that material planning is effective
  • Work within New Product Initiatives (NPIs) to place Bill of Materials (BOMs), and SKUs into the appropriate business enterprise, materials, and purchasing systems.
  • Responsible for costing analysis of production to understand and report on production labor costs, production materials costs and material loss to drive decisions for improvement.
  • Profitability reporting for SKUs by category and Finished good based on actuals data and costing analysis
  • Work with extraction team in Powell Butte and manufacturing team Seattle to ensure that the information flowing from site to site is accurate and flowing to the necessary reports and planning systems.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing industries are preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Production, Data and/or packaging analysis
  • Bachelor degree in business, industrial engineering, Supply chain or related field.
  • Proficiency with Google Suites, Microsoft Office Suite, and a focus on Excel or other similar spreadsheet applications
  • Proficiency with google app script and/or java script is preferred
  • Previous experience with ERP migrations preferred
  • Ability to receive instruction, and follow and execute directions.
  • Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management. Teamwork is key!
