Product Manager Job at Waterford.org

A successful product manager in this role will set clear goals, accurately scope work, align with partners, and provide clear landmarks.

You will build relationships, consensus, and alignment between Development, Curriculum and Product team members. Your collaboration and agreement from partners on product, curriculum and tech will lead to clear planning with no surprise dependencies. Your outcome-orientation will mean the team is always working on the highest priority work. Additionally, you will handle executive partner expectations on delivery of initiatives across teams. This position is a two year term of project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap of releases, initiatives, and features in addition to product objectives and success measurements
  • Work with leadership to align product plans with portfolio vision and architectural epics
  • Work closely with internal teams to define curriculum, architecture, user experience, and innovative product capabilities
  • Work with collaborators and line-of-business leaders to validate concepts, themes, vision, and prototypes
  • Balance priorities between curriculum standard processes, maintenance requirements, architecture, and new features
  • Define the planned date and content for a product releases with focus on product results for the next 3-12 months
  • Directly manage, mentor, and collaborate with Product Owner(s) to ensure successful delivery of software solutions, including oversight of business requirements and user stories crafted by Product Owners, quality level delivered by Development, supporting materials delivered by Marketing and Professional Services

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or work related experience
  • 5+ years of software product management experience
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Proven track record of accurately prioritizing work, aligned with team members, with clear achievements
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Effective communicator, including excellent written, verbal, presentation abilities, project management, and organization skills
  • Available to travel as needed (20%)

Preferred:

  • Experience with K12 EdTech or Early Childhood Education a strong plus

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full-time position will pay an annual base salary of $100,000-120,000 depending on the education, experience, and skill level of the individual we hire. In addition to your base salary Waterford has an annual bonus program. We offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
