Who We Are:

We have operations in Saint Louis, Missouri, Huntington Beach, California, and Milford, Connecticut, serving local, national and international customers, both military and commercial. The company supplies platform controls, aircraft components, liquid oxygen equipment, and emergency breathing equipment to its customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support engineers and sales in preparations of estimates by contacting vendors for "budgetary pricing" for equipment and materials.
• Coordinates all activities related to procurement of the commodity beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.
• Solicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodity.
• Investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.
• Advises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.
• Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.
• Implements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
• Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.
• Evaluates vendors for the purpose of determining their capability for performing to establish specifications.
• Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
• Coordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost effective manner.
• Assist in MRP and system training for M2k.

Knowledge equal to an Associate's degree in business/manufacturing and 3 years of experience in a procurement related environment or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience; CPIM certification preferred.
