Level One Personnel is seeking a Private Duty Nurse (LPN or RN) to provide all the primary care of the student. PRN and Full time opportunities available!

Job Title: Private Duty Nurse (RN or LPN)

Location: Montgomery County, MD

Hours: Day shift, PRN and Full time opportunities available

LPN Pay: $35-40/hour (DOE)

RN Pay: $47-52/hour (DOE)

Start Date: School Year/depends on student case

Summary of Position:

The private duty nurse provides all the primary care of the student from when the student arrives at school until the student departs from school. The PDN may accompany the student to help enable them to attend school-sponsored and/or school-funded programs outside of school and/or outside of the school day.

Requirements:

· Current Registered Nurse/LPN licensure in the state of Maryland

· Covid vaccination, or weekly testing if not vaccinated

· Pediatric experience

Possible Essential Functions (depends on student case):

· Urinary catheterizations

· Suctioning and reinsertion of tracheotomy tube

· Medication administration and management including observation for adverse reactions, response or lack of response to medication and informing the parent/ guardian, and their supervisor, about the negative reaction(s) to the medications

· Oxygen administration, and ventilator care

· Enteral (tube) feedings

· Other treatments ordered by the physician, physician’s assistant (PA), or nurse practitioner and outlined in Plan of Care

· Continuous glucose monitoring, diabetic pump monitoring and compliance with doctor’s orders for diabetic care.

· Collaboration with the student’s primary physician regarding all medical/mental health related medically necessary
