The Opportunity

The role of Principal Engineer in the department of Professional Services is an individual contributor role with an impact across the team and customers. This position offers opportunities of advancement as a Systems Integrator on the technical career ladder for the Professional Services team. This role is specific to support Federal professional services team.


Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in Radiant Logic products to support customer engagements
  • Implementing use case specific solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Work with customers and partners to design/review solutions, identify architecturally significant decisions and develop options, identify risks, define mitigation plans, provide cost effective deployment plans, and provide guidance for successful projects delivery
  • Work with customers and partners to understand and analyze requirements and advise on best practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs and implementation.
  • Install, integrate, and deploy RadiantOne solution in customer environments
  • Work closely with Radiant lead architects, solutions architects, and engineers to develop solutions for complex and large-scale deployments, assess current problem states, establish desired future states, review solutions, develop patterns for Radiant solutions, work on optimizing designs and create best practices artifacts
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers, Technical Leads, Engagement Managers, Developers and Partners to deliver successful customer engagements/projects
  • Partner with the Radiant Executive teams in improving services team’s processes, provide input for product improvements, help achieve services department’s vision and road map
  • Actively engage with peers and managers to create a vibrant and productive work environment
  • Provides additional technical support, builds customer confidence
  • Assists in the transition from pre sales to post sales implementation teams as well as transition from post sales implementation teams transition to support teams
  • Keep up to date with RadiantOne technology – learn new product features and functionalities
  • Test RadiantOne solution offerings, practice integrating with other IAM technologies and provide feedback to Development team to help improve solution capabilities
  • Understand customer requirements and communicate the business value of using Radiant Logic
  • Create technical documentations
  • Perform health checks as necessary
  • Help colleagues with solutions for technical issues and customer questions
  • Contributing to creation of knowledge base articles
  • Assist in creation, validation and delivery of product training material
  • Actively engage with peers and managers to create a vibrant and productive work environment
  • Up to 30% travel primarily within the US and Canada

Skills and Experience

Must Haves:

  • Must be able to obtain secret clearance
  • BS or MS in CS/CIS/MIS, or equivalent knowledge/experience
  • Excellent in person presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Fundamental understanding and ability to apply concepts of identity, directories, databases, schema, structure, protocol, LDAP, REST, SCIM, and API integration.
  • Knowledge and experience with the concepts in the security, identity and access management space including web access management, application federation, and identity federation, single sign on, provisioning, governance, privilege account management, ISaaS, zero trust, hybrid cloud, and customer identity and access management
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise Security and Network Management
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to haves:

  • CompTIA Security+ or DOD 8570 compliant certificate
  • Active TS/SCI and/or DOD Secret
  • Past experience working with Federal Accounts (ie Government, Military)
  • Past experience delivering professional services for customer engagements
  • Be a thought lead in the IAM space, follow emerging trends and technologies inherent and adjacent to Radiant Logic’s solutions
  • Past experience working on Java and Java based applications.
  • Ability to work in a multi-team and multi-vendor environments.
  • Working knowledge of RadiantOne products. Ability to provide guidance, and leadership on RadiantOne implementation
  • Ability to lead technical teams and coach and mentor engineers and less experienced architects
  • Specific knowledge of directories such as Radiant Logic, Active Directory, ADLDS, SunOne/ODSEE, OpenDJ, IBM TDS, NetIQ eDirectory/NDS, IBM TDS and Domino
  • Well versed in the fundamentals of SQL databases on Windows and Linux as well as experience with relational databases and use of SQL including experience with various databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
  • AuthN/AuthZ methods such PKI, certificate-based authentication, Kerberos, XACML,
  • ABAC/RBAC, Multi Factor Authentication, SmartCards/PIV/CAC
  • Experience with Web Services, protocols, and frameworks such as SAML2, OpenID Connect, WS-Fed, OAuth, SOAP, REST
  • Some experience scripting for Windows and/or Linux (Bash, Powershel, Python, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Linux security concepts and administration, and administering MS platforms
  • Provisioning and management of user and groups in Linux and Windows
  • Working knowledge of Kerberos
