Our catering/farm to table experience is growing and we are now expanding to a food truck. We are looking for a talented and passionate cook to join our team! As a cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes that showcase the flavors of West African cuisine, while also incorporating locally-sourced ingredients. You will also be responsible for following recipes, prepping ingredients, and ensuring that all food items are prepared according to health and safety standards. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about food, has a positive attitude, and is willing to learn new techniques. You will work closely with the owner and head chef to execute our vision for the business, and to ensure that our food is of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding food items.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly.
- Assist in the preparation of meals and other food items as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
