Porter/Make Ready Person Job at Catalyst Property Solutions
The Porter/Make Ready Person is to maintain the appearance of the apartment community common areas and grounds in a clean and orderly condition, performing the duties necessary to complete this task. These duties include conducting a trash pick-up every morning at the beginning of the day and blowing out the breezeways regularly to maintain high cleanliness standards. The Porter reports to and is directly responsible to the Lead Maintenance and Property Manager.
Duties Include but not Limited to:
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.
- Removes trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter on a daily basis.
- Prepares property trash for city pick-up.
- Assists in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready.
- Performs assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Assists in the cleaning of available apartments and/or models.
- Assists in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems.
- Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Director.
- Meticulously maintains curb appeal.
- Represents the community in a professional manner at all times-on/off property.
- Delivers communication documentation to residents.
- Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
- Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules.

Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 50lbs, Ability and willingness to work in adverse weather conditions in an emergency. Ability to climb stairs and bend over.'
