Come join our growing team as a Plant Manager at our Shawano, WI location! In this role, you will direct the efforts of all production personnel from prepress through shipping, to achieve highest levels of product quality, on-time shipments and throughput consistent with BELMARK Mission, Purpose and Principles. As the main point of contact, you will also be responsible for any upgrades to production capabilities through system improvement, training, system accountability, equipment maintenance and improvement.

What will I do in this role?

  • Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
  • Responsible for the gross profit of assigned operation.
  • Create and implement systems to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support and contribute to the growth of the assigned operation.
  • Anticipate short-term and long-term production needs and plan to meet them in conjunction with sales and scheduling efforts.
  • Achieve all productivity, quality, cost, delivery, safety & motivation Key Performance Indicators objectives.
  • Develop the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Responsible for product quality, motivation and coaching of personnel. Establishing and maintaining company values/culture.
  • Solve daily production problems by leading the identification and elimination of losses, resulting in improvements in costs, inventory, time, and quality.
  • Hold production personnel accountable for adhering to agreed upon standards, processes, and systems. Motivate team members to achieve plan goals.
  • Take corrective action to eliminate problems.
  • Cross train as necessary to ensure equipment coverage. Build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel.
  • Accountable for performance reviews, attendance records, scheduling vacations, timecard accuracy and pay recommendations.
  • Develop and execute plans for improving safety performance.

???????Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an education as is generally acquired in four (4) years of college, with a degree in production management or business, and/or four (4) years of production supervisory experience in a similar size operation, preferably in the flexographic printing process.
  • Must be able to successfully lead cross-functional groups in process improvement, project management and have the ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Must be able to communicate with customers and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, finance, capital planning, and project cost tracking and forecasting, economic justification analysis, statistical process control, and manufacturing management systems.
  • Understand color theory, color management and systems to control color.
  • Understand workflow and systems for all functional areas under Plant responsibility.
  • Ability to interface effectively with plant personnel, outside contractors and different functional groups within the business units.
  • Responsible for leading and developing managers to attain metric goals as established for each equipment set.
