Plant Manager Job at Heating and Cooling Products
Position Summary:
Assists and supports the manufacturing plant by performing the following functions:
Essential Job Functions:
Ø Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing plant
Ø Take ownership and support the Company Core Values and Fundamentals
Ø Responsible for managing production, shipping and maintenance objectives and efficiencies
Ø Interfaces with all levels of the organization including the HR department on labor relations issues, interviewing, hiring, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing employee complaints and resolving employee issues
Ø Lead and coach supervisors and support staff to achieve objectives on a consistent basis
Ø Conduct employee performance reviews
Ø Use daily operating reports and metrics to continually improve processes
Ø Continually evaluate productivity and current staff to optimize production efficiency and meet schedules
Ø Responsible for quality of product to the customer
Ø Make recommendation for purchases, modifications and renovations of plant equipment
Ø Schedule, conduct, and participate in plant meetings
Ø Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings
Ø Follow and promote all Company policies and procedures
Ø Regular attendance is essential
Ø Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
Ø Professional and excellence in all communication
Ø Ability to train, mentor and coach associates
Ø Ability to combine hands-on tactical skills with strategic leadership
Ø Ability to problem-solve
Education and Experience:
Ø High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Business preferred
Ø Strong knowledge of occupational safety
Ø A strong track record of successful accomplishments in a leadership role.
Ø Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Work Environment:
