JOB TITLE: Pickleball Player Relations Coordinator

Imperial is seeking a new “Pickleball Player Relations Coordinator” to help craft and execute the vision for Imperial to be on the heads of every pickleball player in the country. This individual will be responsible for pioneering the brand in a new and emerging market, navigating an uncharted opportunity in a developing sport, while at the same time maintaining established brand values.

The Pickleball Player Relations Coordinator will also research and develop sales and marketing plans to distribute Imperial into the pickleball market. To be successful in this new and visible role, this person must have a deep understanding of pickleball culture and social media marketing, as well as superb organizational and prioritization skill sets.


RESPONSIBILITIES as Pickleball Player Relations Coordinator

  • Research and Understand the Pickleball Market – Responsible for creating and driving a sales and marketing plan for an emerging market.
  • Build Relationships – Responsible for networking and building lasting relationships with the leading people and organizations in pickleball.
  • Social Media – A deep understanding of social media and being able to assist our marketing department in content creation, building a narrative for Imperial in a new sport and capitalizing on opportunities for partnerships and product placement.
  • Travel – This person must be able to frequently travel as much as 40% of the time.

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH AND REPORT TO?

The Pickleball Player Relations Coordinator will report to the SVP of Sales.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU?

  • Self-Starter – This individual will need to be an entrepreneur. Pickleball is an immature market, and is a clean slate for how to go to market from a sales and marketing perspective.
  • Networker – A big part of this job will be navigating an evolving market and connecting with the right people and organizations. Cold calling will be frequent and this person must not get bogged down with objections.
  • Travel – Experience in being able to travel and work while on the road is a huge plus.
  • Social Expertise – As part of the broader digital marketing plan, this individual will need to bring an understanding of how social media fits into a larger brand marketing plan.
  • Pickleball & Brand Affinity – In order to work effectively, this coordinator must have a passion for and keen understanding of pickleball, its unique culture and Imperial’s brand. Brand differentiation and brand story are critical to separate Imperial from other headwear and apparel brands.
  • Writing – This individual should have dedication to detail and craftsmanship of the written word. Writing and implementing plans will be key to this position.

WHERE WILL YOU BE NEEDED?


This position is open to a hybrid schedule. Relocation to the great St. Louis are (as needed).


WHAT KIND OF SALARY CAN YOU EARN?


The base salary for this role is $50K and is not inclusive of other forms of compensation or benefits that may be available. Our philosophy on compensation is driven by the goal of attracting, developing, and retaining the best people to further our mission, vision, and business goals. Compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including and not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
