Title: Physician Hospitalist Medical Director FT ($100.00-$300.00)

Job Summary

Provides oversight and management of medical care provided by the Hospitalist Team to include Hospitalists, Nocturnists and Advanced Practice providers to assigned patient population, at Parkview Medical Center and Parkview Pueblo West, personally maintains timely and appropriate documentation of such care and ensures members of the Team meet current documentation standards. Actively participates in medical staff duties. Participates in quality assurance, utilization management, and peer review programs to ensure high quality, cost-effective services. Supports clinic and/or practice budgetary targets. Partners with administration and staff to support Hospital strategic and operational plans. Works collaboratively toward needed improvements. Shares night, weekend, and/or holiday call duties as stated in the Employment Agreement. Plays a key role in Hospitalist recruitment, development and retention.

Participates in developing innovative solutions to improve outcomes, reduce length of stay, and reduce hospital readmissions.

Licensure

Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where Physician practices. Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number. Must apply for and maintain medical staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by the Employment Agreement.

Education

Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in state where Physician practices. Board Eligible/Board Certified by appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number. Previous experience as a Hospitalist Group Medical Director. Experience in Physician leadership and oversight preferred.
