Essential Duties and Responsibilities (full job description available upon interview)

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, training and development.
  • Enters, sets up, maintains, and processes payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing, implementing review procedures to minimize errors
  • Maintains up-to-date Policies and Procedures, SOPs.
  • Assist with Employee Handbook, distribution, documentation, and explanation of policies to employees and managers.
  • Handles employment and payroll related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations and ensures appropriate documentation and follow up.
  • Assists with new hire orientation, employee recognition, record-keeping, interviews and schedules
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee reference checks and eligibility verifications.
  • Answers phones and greets guests.
  • Assists with overall company compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Works extended hours including evenings and weekends
Requirements:


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Human Resources, Accounting, or similar fields
  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be able to make decisions confidently and, just as importantly, quickly
  • Ability to relay complex legal jargon in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Familiarity with FLSA, OSHA, ADA, EEO, FMLA, FFCRA regulations
  • Organizational skills that border on the obsessive

Preferred Skills

  • Experience setting up and managing HRIS/payroll
  • Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel including Pivot Charts, VLOOKUPs, and macros
