Duties
Responsibilities:
Monitor all changes in employee payroll/personnel data, deductions, salary reductions, garnishments, levies, taxes, and direct deposits.
Maintain distribution and allocation codes for employees cost centers.
Monitor and import links for HR system
Balance, summarize and verify accuracy of employee time records imported from the Time and Attendance program.
Process, verify accuracy, print and prepare payroll checks for distribution each pay period.
Process EFT data for direct deposit transactions.
Generate and distribute payroll reports to supervisors, department leads and the Chief Financial Officer.
Maintain employee leave balance(s), employee time cards and records and scan information accurately and timely.
Reconcile all health benefits each month and retirement information before processing each payroll.
Work with Human Resources to ensure payroll related matters are properly updated and maintained within the payroll system.
Monitor and submit payroll taxes to the EFTSs website each payroll.
Monitor and submit retirement payments to provider(s) each payroll.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly tax reporting filings.
Provide assistance to any member of the Finance department, as needed.
Respond to routine and complex problems from management and employees.
Maintain effective working relations with all employees, vendors, and the general public by telephone, electronic communication and in person.
Be flexible and support an environment of productivity, healthy morale, and teamwork.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a payroll positions in a fast-pace environment.
Experience with in-house payroll processing.
Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws.
Good understanding of the common fiscal procures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Experience with MIP software or equivalent payroll software
Ability to keep accurate accounting records
Must be highly organized
Must maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and/or periodic physical examination and a complete background check every 24 months.

Child Care Associates offers a competitive benefits package that is provided to all fulltime employees that include health, dental and life insurance coverage. Additional voluntary benefits are offered to all fulltime employees in addition to the core benefits package.
After completing one (1) year of service, the company contributes 4% of the employees earnings to the 403(b) retirement plan. If the employee also elects to make a contribution to the plan, Child Care Associates will match half (50%) of the employees contribution up to 4% of base salary.
