    Job Title: Bensenville Part-Time Lead Site Coordinator

    Reports to: Program Director

    Job Description:
    Bensenville School District 2 is seeking a highly qualified candidate to serve as the Part-Time Lead Site Coordinator. The Part-Time Lead Site Coordinator will work directly with community partner agencies, and Bensenville School District 2 staff to identify needed resources and assist with the implementation and planning of the community school model components. The candidate will also support and oversee the coordination efforts of two site coordinators.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of parent/family education opportunities, leveraging of internal resources and community partners.
    • Solicit parent and teacher input regarding parent education needs
    • Support efforts to identify and recruit the most at-risk children and families to participate in after-school supports and parent education events.
    • Develop improved transition supports in four critical education areas.
    • Collaborate with teachers and principals to understand professional development needs in order to assist in the alignment between need and community partner offerings.
    • Oversee site coordinators and assist in their efforts to recruit students and families, schedule programing, collaborate with partners, and improve student retention.
    • Assist in the identification and development of mental health supports for students and families.

    Qualifications:
    • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field preferred.
    • Experience working with diverse populations.
    • Experience in program design, management and coordination.
    • Ability to keep accurate records, and prepare reports.
    • Community organizing experience preferred.
    • Bilingual - Spanish language skills preferred.

    Physical Demands:
    • Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
    • Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
    • May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.

    This is a grant-supported position under a five-year, Full Service Community Schools Grant. Funding for subsequent years is to be determined.
