Opening for an hourly/part time physical therapist for 2-3 days/week with potential to move to FT as the schedule allows/grows. This will not initially be a full time position but the goal is to build as able.

Hiring/interviews are rolling and ongoing per needs of clinic/availability of candidate.

At Ascent Physical Therapy you will experience working in a small, locally owned and operated clinic with the ability to maximize patient care for clients of all ages. Patients are seen 1-on-1 which allows for full attention to detail on all plans of care.

Ascent is located in SW Central Austin with a patient population primarily from Austin, Rollingwood, and Westlake. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the need for, developing and delivering physical therapy programs and interventions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Consistent ability to develop and implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance function

2. Excellent interpersonal skills

3. Identify the need for and make referrals to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of the patient as needed

4. Effectively document evaluations, daily notes, flow sheets and treatment plans in accordance with commercial insurance programs and Medicare requirements. Able to communicate with insurance providers regarding physical therapy progress and authorization as needed.

5. Instruct, educate, and train patients and/or caregivers in the skills and functions essential for promoting patient independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct impairments

Proficient in WebPT online record keeping a plus but not required. You must be willing to learn and employ all aspects of working in a small clinic including but not limited to patient scheduling, maintaining space hygiene, confirming insurance benefits, and billing in addition to your therapist duties. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to engage their patients and require little supervision. The ideal candidate will also have set hours of availability (ie, T/Th 9-1 regularly). Can change over time with discussion with owner.
