Pallet Maker/ General Laborer Job at Camden Yards Steel
Job Description:
· Ensure skids/pallets are properly made and inventoried for multiple machines in the warehouse.
· Pre-cut wood to specific lengths for each skid order.
· Ability to assemble various styles of pallets/skids needed in the warehouse.
· Possess excellent communication skills with an ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
· Housekeeping and cleanup of work area including but not limited to cleanup of all saw dust from the saws daily.
· Properly and safely operate air compressed nail guns and electric saws.
· Great organizational skills
· Wear all proper PPE including steel toe boots, hard hat, gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
· Responsible for communicating with management about inventory of wood, nails and any issues that arise with equipment.
Job Requirements:
· Requires great manual dexterity, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and fast reaction time.
· Ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to use and read a tape measure.
· Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
· Required to stand and walk for up to 10 hours in various weather conditions.
· Ability to hear and see both close distance and peripheral.
