DPI Staffing is currently seeking a qualified candidate for open welding positions for one of the largest, diversified manufacturers and suppliers of light to medium construction equipment, power generators, and lighting located in Boise.
Job Description: Operates cone, disk, or nozzle type electrostatic painting equipment to spray negatively charged paint particles onto positively charged workpieces by performing the following duties:
1. Moves switches and dials to start flow current and to activate conveyor and paint spraying equipment.
2. Turns valves and observes gauges to set pressure and to control flow of paint to each spray station.
3. Adjusts thermostat to maintain specified temperature in paint tanks.
4. Prepping parts for paint.
5. Hangs parts with appropriate spacing utilizing correct hooks for the parts.
6. Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas.
7. De-hang parts and stack appropriately for damage free product.
8. Readjusts pressure valves to control direction and pattern of spray and to correct flaws in coating.
9. Cleans paint from ceiling and walls of booth, conveyor hooks or grid, and from disks, cones, spray heads, and hoses.
10. Mixes paint according to specifications with viscometer to regulate consistency according to changes in atmospheric conditions.
11. Regulates tanks for PH balance, cleans and maintains paint line equipment.
12. Record wastewater discharge and PH reading daily.
13. Monitor & record wet coat booth manometer, changing filters as needed.
14. Safely operate hoist.
15. Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications
1. High School degree or GED. Six months prior experience in a paint booth.
2. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
3. Ability to write simple correspondence.
4. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
5. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
6. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
8. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
9. Ability to operate hand tools & air powered tools.
10. Ability to operate hoist.
11. Ability to perform PH & concentration of chemical level testing.

Day Shift: $19.50/hr
Monday - Thursday
5am – 3:30pm
