Order Review Supervisor Job at BNSF

Responsibilities:
The Order Review Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of all associates within the Order Management (OM) team, as well as overseeing received orders for all product lines to ensure they are processed timely and accurately. This position supports all markets and internal departments.
  • Oversees all functions and processes that may impact or affect OM’s output.
  • Communicate issues within the facility that may have a negative effect on business continuity.
  • Schedule OM associates to work in a manner that meets the needs of the business.
  • Mentor, coach and develop the OM team and consistently provide performance feedback.
  • Maximize OM utilization and productivity by implementing new projects and programs.
  • Supervise OM team members as they process orders to ensure adherence to quality standards, production goals, and proper procedures (SOPs).
  • Serve as primary contact for markets regarding order concerns (i.e., timelines, fax service issues).
  • Ensure that the department budget, including payroll, headcount and cost per order, is maintained.
  • Provide Order Processing Operations Manager with daily/weekly updates, including the overall condition of the department, project improvement reports, the weekly status of employees, outstanding issues, and the cause and effect of solution options.
  • Provide weekly/monthly updates, including problem resolutions, shortage reports, and total overtime worked.
  • Act as on-call for OM weekend after-hour emergencies requiring immediate escalation.
  • Coach associates on weekly performance scorecard results.
  • Develop and deliver year-end reviews and provide merit recommendations to the manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. High School Diploma required.
  • 2 – 3 years of supervision experience of ten or more associates.
  • Ability to understand each role within the department and its effect on other processes.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel with the ability to create, manipulate and utilize spreadsheets in Excel.
  • High degree of organization.
  • Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.
  • Good problem-solving skills.

Order Management optimizes and processes sold orders timely and accurately for residential and commercial flooring customers from all business units. The process may include ordering specialized products directly from vendors and working with markets to ensure products are received in their facility and available for scheduling customer installations.
