The ASAP Developer is a technically skilled role working closely with business analysts, solution architects, technical and operations personnel for the administration, design/development, and implementation of the ASAP (Java Based) application. Responsibilities will also include working closely with stakeholders to demonstrate product expertise and functional knowledge to ensure solutions delivered meet the business objectives/requirements and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Design, create, and implement Java-based applications (ASAP telecom application).
Responsible for development around UE (User Equipment) Provisioning on the Southern Linc LTE Network
Interpret briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
Determine application functions and build objectives with the team.
Ensure that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
Identify and resolve immediate and potential production issues with telecom specific applications.
Draft detailed reports on the work performed and projects completed.
Participate in group meetings to discuss projects and objectives on a weekly basis.
Assist other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.
Meet deadlines on fast-paced deliverables.
Work with our DevOps instance in software releases as it relates to code enhancements/development.
Successfully deploy Java Artifacts
Modify and create new cartridges.
Qualifications:
Degree in computer sciences, coding, or a related field.
At least 5 years' experience in Java-based programming.
Significant coding skills in Java, with other languages being a major plus.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Knowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs (REST & SOAP), and libraries.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
A strong portfolio of top-class coding and builds to your name.
Ability to work with other developers and assist junior team members.
Meticulous at both analysis and execution.
Familiarity with ASDLs/CSDLs
A good working knowledge of the UNIX operating system
A thorough understanding of service and network provisioning
Java and J2EE
XML, XSLT, and XQuery
SQL (Oracle DB)
Oracle Fusion Middleware (Weblogic)
Cartridge Development via Design Studio
Integrations with other applications via web services, JMS and SAF
Configuration Knowledge around design and configuration of different network elements and services models
SME in Telecom Industry and familiar with telecommunications
Proficiency in OCA
Nice to Haves:
Hands on experience with Oracle ASAP application including:
A good working knowledge of ASAP programming concepts including the ability.
Familiarity with ASAP install including install of cartridges and ASAP upgrades.
Familiarity with ASAP loopback mode setup and ASAP testing.

Pay: $70.00 - $71.00 per hour
