OPS Visitor Services and Safety Representative, Florida Museum of Natural History Job at University of Florida
A Florida Museum Visitor Services and Safety Representative protects the collections, displays and occupants of the public facility and exhibition center at Powell Hall and the McGuire Center of Lepidoptera and Biodiversity. Specific duties include greeting guests, exhibit patrol, policy enforcement, ensuring safety in public museum areas, and coordinating emergency response when needed. Representatives regularly interact with museum visitors, engaging the public with information about exhibits, museum events and resources, and furthering the museum’s mission to inspire people to value the biological richness and cultural heritage of our diverse world and make a positive difference in its future. Representatives coordinate event setups and strikes and provide access to secure areas as needed. A successful applicant has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills and the desire to foster a climate of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access.
1 Part-time Weekend and Weekday full-shift availability required. 20-25 hours per week, shifts are Monday-Saturday 9:45am-5:15pm and Sunday 12:45pm-5:15pm.
This is a time-limited position, one-year minimum commitment preferred.
$14.00 per hour
