Operations Manager Job at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is looking for an energetic Operations Manager to provide leadership to moving crews and assist in the daily operational aspects of the business. In this role you will work with customers, vendors, and all staff members to meet established business goals and standards. This is accomplished primarily through: training and motivating franchise employees; controlling costs; managing daily franchise operations; and consistently exceeding customer expectations.

What You'll Do
- Create and promote a positive work environment through relationship building making Two Men and a Truck an employer of choice
- Train new employees in an orientation setting and aid in the onboarding process
- Lead all mover/driver training, responsible for team development and motivation
- Assist with employee scheduling and administer the dispatch of movers and drivers
- Responsible for employee accountability and adherence to franchise standards and policies
- Professionally handle customer concerns and oversee the damage resolution process
- Coordinate and direct fleet maintenance and equipment inventory
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines
- Implement and maintain proper DOT program using electronic logging devices
- Conduct weekly safety spot checks to ensure all jobs are completed to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® standards
- Continually maintain thorough understanding of all company products, services, and promotions
- Develop strategic sales growth plans with the General Manager to ensure revenue and profit objectives are met
- Assists in day-to-day organizational and clerical support tasks
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager
Who We're Looking For
- Highly motivated individual who is driven to help others succeed
- A team member who will lead by example in performance, attitude, attendance and work ethic
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- Driver’s license with good driving record
- Willing and able to obtain an annual DOT Physical
- Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to customer service and the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK core values
- Proficient with the following Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with Saturday rotations
Work is generally performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards, however, occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds may be necessary. Local travel in a company vehicle will be required.
