Part-Time Program Associate for OLLI@CCU
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Coastal Carolina University (OLLI@CCU) is devoted to meeting the intellectual and social needs of lifelong learners in the Grand Strand Area. OLLI@CCU offers a rich and evolving array of courses, lectures, clubs, and other events to members of the community who are 50 years of age or older. We aim to share all the makes Coastal unique and special with our OLLI members who come from all walks of life and bring a lifetime of experience to the classroom and our activities.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Recruit Coastal Carolina University faculty members to teach for OLLI
- Oversee the development of OLLI Emeritus Initiative that will recruit retired Coastal Carolina University faculty, and other local retired university professionals, to be OLLI instructors
- Liaise with the academic colleges on campus to develop synergistic opportunities for collaboration with OLLI
- Develop more opportunities for OLLI members and Coastal undergraduates and graduate students to assist with intergenerational learning
- Liaise with Advancement and Alumni Engagement to ensure that alumni are taking advantage of all OLLI offerings and that the offerings are meeting their lifelong learning needs
- Liaise with community partners to enhance membership benefits
- Conduct outreach to current and potential OLLI members to ensure that we are reaching our target audience and reaching a diverse population of the 50+ community
- Assist with marketing of the OLLI membership and OLLI programming
- Assist with scheduling of courses, clubs, and excursions in the course management system
- Assist with registering students and customer service matters related to member accounts in the course management system
- Assist with compiling data for OLLI communication materials to the public, the OLLI@CCU Board of Advisors, and to the National Resource Center
- Assist with annual giving campaigns
- Support offsite classroom locations hosted at partner sites
Qualifications: A high school diploma is required. A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred. Experience with lifelong learning or higher education programming, outreach experience, experience with volunteer management, experience with reporting, marketing, and communications, customer service experience, and experience in an office setting is also preferred.
