Offshore Rigger Job at GO Marine Services
- Roustabout / General laborer / Rigger with work as directed by GOMS or Client management.
Essential Job Functions/Major Responsibilities: include the following:
- Chip, clean, paint and remove rust spots from the deck, superstructure and sides of client’s vessels and/or facilities using hand or air chipping hammer, wire brush, grinder, needle gun etc.
- Operate high pressure power washing equipment
- Sweep and wash decks using a broom, brushes, mops and hose to remove oil, dirt and debris
- When required, maintain entire vessel and/facility’s interior including sanitation and lavatories
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- General clean up
- Maintain the tools used in good working order. Advise client when tools need to be replaced.
- Assist with the loading / unloading of equipment in / around work site.
- Notify appropriate personnel when concerns arise
- Participate in Safety activities such as meetings, inspections and demonstrations.
- Where ALL appropriate PPE at all times.
- Other duties may be assigned
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventory of supplies
- Show new employees on job their responsibilities and duties
- Other duties such as required by client or as directed by management

- Requires living and working in remote confined space workplaces for extended periods of time
- Exposure to boat and helicopter transportation from dispatch sites to jobsites and return
- Required traveling throughout the United States
- Exposure to work assignments consisting of a minimum of (10) hour workdays on assignments that may last up to four (4) weeks or more.
- Exposure to day or night shifts

Dress and hygiene requirements:
ALL GO Marine Services employees are required to follow dress code as follows:
Employee is required to wear cargo pants, work pants, blue jeans or coveralls. Pants must be kept clean at all times. No frayed cuffs, stains or holes will be permitted. Shirts must be clean, neat and replaced when necessary. Shirts are to be tucked in and belt worn. GO Marine Services hard hat at all times while on duty. Steel toe boots are also required. Uniforms must be worn at all times when not in living quarters. Competitor clothing is strictly prohibited.
Each employee must shave daily, bathe daily, wash hair daily, brush teeth twice a day and utilize personal hygiene products, as in deodorant.
NO cell phones or music during work hours. Cell phones and radios are used only in your living quarters, please do not disturb others.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
