Squirrel Hill Health Center (SHHC), a dynamic and growing Federally Qualified Health Center in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a full time Office Manager for the Brentwood office. This individual will support and contribute to the primary care practice. The Office Manager is a creative and flexible individual accustomed to working in a dynamic environment. The Office Manager will provide leadership for non-clinical support staff, management of billing practices, credentialing of clinicians, development of policy and procedure and scheduling for an interdisciplinary practice.
The Office Manager oversees the administrative functions of the medical office to ensure it is operating efficiently and effectively in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Squirrel Hill Health Center’s policies and procedures. Specific job duties of the Office Manager include: Maintaining clerical and clinical schedules, managing billing practices, overseeing front and back office staff, and maintaining clinician employment compliance records (current licenses, and certifications, malpractice insurance etc.).
The Office Manager is a creative and flexible individual accustomed to working in a diverse environment.
Qualifications:

  • COVID vaccine required.
  • An Associate’s degree in healthcare, business or a related field with primary care experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in health care is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising staff is preferred.
  • Second language a plus, Spanish or Nepali preferred.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong mission orientation required.
  • Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and electronic health records is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • A demonstrated record of providing outstanding and compassionate customer service is required.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize work flow processes is required.
  • Act 33/34 and FBI clearances are required.
