Night Yard Supervisor Job at Express Employment Professionals
Express is now hiring for a Yard Night Supervisor for a lumber distribution center based out of Tumwater, WA. This is a Direct Hire position. The schedule will be Monday through Friday 4:00pm-12:30am, Monday through Friday, and 4:00p-4:00am during the summer months (overtime will be required then) The compensation for this position will range from $24-$27/hr DOE. Job Duties:
· Assist in leading a team of hourly associates in the yard and warehouse while providing necessary daily coaching, guidance and direction to the team.
· Provide leadership in safety, customer service, performance management, inventory management, training, and problem-solving.
· Develop, facilitate, and adjust Standard Operating Procedures to help facilitate the training and development of associates.
· Work closely with the sales team to meet customer service expectations. Provide updates on scheduling, order fulfillment, and changes.
· Work collaboratively with the leadership team and seek out continuous improvement opportunities.
· Perform special projects and lean activities at the direction of the operations manager to create efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
· Two (2) years experience in a supervisory or team lead position.
· Forklift Experience
· Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as leadership skills
· Detail oriented, organized and must complete proper paperwork in a timely manner
