Homes for Independent Living (HIL) has been a leader offering residential services for adults who have a wide variety of disabilities since 1984. Our residents live in small group homes or apartment settings which allow for individualized attention and support. We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. A DSP provides direct care support services for our clients in order to maximize the individual’s potential. Following Individual Service Plans and Behavioral Support Plans, a DSP is focused on providing services that enhance the overall health, safety, and welfare of their clients.

Responsibilities Include:

· Interact with clients assisting with day to day tasks

· Engage in fun activities with clients

· Health monitoring and medication administration

· Meal preparation in accordance to dietary guidelines

· Light housekeeping

· Assist with personal cares

Availability:

• Full-Time / Part-Time
• 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift available

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Demonstrated passion, accountability, & teamwork
• Reliable transportation to and from programs and training classes
• Ability to work with individuals with special needs or willingness to learn
• Successful completion of a caregiver background check, TB test and Health Screen

• Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
