About the Position

Fenix Group is seeking a 5G/LTE Network Engineer who will be responsible for researching, designing, and deploying wireless networks and suggests recommendations for optimizing and upgrading wireless networks to meet the requirements of Fenix Group’s wireless product offering. This candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will require the applicant to possess in-depth, hands-on experience to aptly respond to, assess and lead aspects of the project, develop documentation, testing, and delivery of 4G/5G cellular systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Coursework focus in telecommunications related areas desirable.

Licenses/Certificates

CCNP, CCNA, CCIE and/or comparable professional engineering certifications highly desirable.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working for a company within the industry or from a similar business as well as experience integrating and troubleshooting all components of Wireless and Fixed networks.

Skills

5G/LTE/4G Working Knowledge

Internet Protocol (IP) networking

Network design and optimization

Wireshark

Experience with various drive test equipment i.e., Xcal/Xcap, Nemo, TEMS, etc.

Microsoft Office Suite

MS Windows Testing and Validation

Ability to clearly articulate technical and non-technical subject matters, both verbally and in writing, to technical and non-technical Customer personnel

Prior experience with Government contracting practices and procedures.

Other Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

If travel is required, travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Ability to work weekends if required.
