Cedar Sinai Park is looking for part-time Medication Aides!

We are currently looking for a day shift Medication Aide. The shifts are Saturdays & Tuesdays, from 6AM-2:30PM. This is perfect for a nursing student or someone in senior care who is supplementing another position.

We are located at 6140 SW Boundary St., in the Raleigh Hills area of southwest Portland. Our campus is along bus routes 54 and 56 from Portland to Beaverton.

Summary- The primary purpose of this position is providing medication administration services to residents according to Service Plan agreements, medical orders following pharmacy policies and procedures, Oregon Administrative Rules for Assisted Living Facility (ALF) and under the direction of Registered Nurse and Director of Health Services Department.

• Responsible for the supervision of Resident Assistants in caring for residents in the following areas of services and team work.
• Assists residents with care as assigned while maintaining the highest standards for the physical, mental, and emotional, social well-being, independence, self-direction, and self-care of each resident.
• Performs safety checks on residents.

Able to direct the work of others in accordance with state regulations, facility policy, and program.

Demonstrate competence in medication administration after evaluation by Registered Nurse or Department Director.

Able to handle a variety of stressful situations in a courteous, calm and helpful manner; willing to assist other team members and contribute to team work.

Cooperate with others and willing to assist other team members and contribute to the overall well-being of the resident in their home/community.

Recognize a change in a resident’s condition including physical, mental and emotional areas and report observations and or concerns to Registered Nurse/and or MD;

Possess knowledge, efficiency and effectiveness in safety aspects of all work duties including but not limited to use of proper body mechanics with resident transfers, lifting /carrying objects and infection control measures if universal precautions and biohazard clean up procedures. Demonstrated computer proficiency.
